Lisa Grant Co-Director
Lisa was born and bred in the Kingston/Bayside area, and is now happily living in the suburb of Beaumaris with her husband and 3 children.
With a Bachelor of Information Technology from Swinburne University, and 20 years working in the IT industry, Lisa has forged a path from Programmer through to Program Manager, working in Australia, Asia and the UK. Lisa has also followed her passion for supporting small businesses with post-graduate qualifications in Business Management and Business Coaching, and a number of years of running her own small business and supporting others. She has recently worked extensively in Social Media and Social Media Marketing, and can provide a wealth of current knowledge within these areas of expertise. She knows how daunting it is to start your own business, and to suddenly need expertise in marketing, sales, finance, law and more, and can help you to overcome some of those hurdles with your own small business.
Before starting her family in 2006, Lisa spent 6 months doing volunteer work in Africa, and it was there that her love of supporting the local community began. She noticed that, despite all of the hardships faced by the people she was helping, the community bonded together to help each other through “thick and thin” in a way she had never experienced before.
Bayside Community Hub provides Lisa with the perfect opportunity to continue exploring her passion to help both the community and small businesses. Lisa hopes that the support provided through Bayside Community Hub can help the Bayside Community to thrive and prosper!
Nicki LloydCo-Director
Nicki has lived in the bayside suburbs of Melbourne her entire life. She now shares her love for bayside with her husband, daughter and Ruby the dog.
After completing a Bachelor of Arts with Honours (Social Sciences) Nicki worked for many years within printing services. Taking a break from the professional workforce in 2006 Nicki completed a Graduate Diploma in Human Rights Law. After having her daughter in 2008 Nicki gained a new appreciation for the wonderful resources the local community has to offer. She was a member of Beaumaris Playhouse for three years, including two years being an active member of the committee where she edited the newsletter and managed the website. When her daughter was in grade one at primary school she volunteered to be Class Representative Co-Ordinator on the Parent’s Club.
It was a fellow Playhouse mum asking Nicki to create a website for her new business that gave Nicki the idea of creating a website design company. In December 2014 she created Mara Communications and hasn’t looked back. Nicki loves web site design as she can apply her creativity, writing and editing skills to fulfil her clients’ needs. Her passion for being an active member of the local community is evident in her portfolio and that is what led her to Lisa Grant and Bayside Community Hub.
Meeting Lisa and building Bayside Community Hub Business Directory’s website were defining events that would lead to the formation of a compelling business partnership, and the expansion of the Business Directory into a thriving and dynamic resource.
Nicki has been able to make some wonderful connections through her involvement in Bayside Community Hub. She welcomes the opportunity to assist other local businesses while continuing to grow her own. Nicki is passionate about locals supporting locals and that epitomises all that Bayside Community Hub stands for.
